RESIDENT ARTIST - ALEX MALOUTAS
Alex Maloutas was born and raised in Los Angeles. He is an Alumni of Otis College of Art and Design where he studied visual arts and communications. He went on to teach digital tools and video editing at Otis for 7 years. In 2010 Alex and his friend Kent, opened a gallery/arts space in Glassell Park, and called it New Puppy Gallery. Alex’s interests include design, photography, sculpture, bookbinding, cinematography, carpentry and poetry. In 2017, Hive House hosted three solo shows with Alex; Machines for the Unknown, Pipelines, and Cuba .
